Compatible Implants: Cannulated Screw Systems (6.5mm/7.3mm)

Product Introduction

This complete instrument system is designed for percutaneous cannulated screw internal fixation in orthopedic surgery, compatible with 6.5–7.3mm diameter cannulated screws and comprising 21 core tools.

It addresses key technical challenges in percutaneous fixation—including precise guidewire positioning, coaxial instrument operation, and efficient bone channel preparation—covering the full closed-loop workflow from guidewire insertion, depth measurement, and bone channel reaming/tapping to screw implantation and final locking.

Manufactured from medical-grade high-strength stainless steel, critical components (e.g., cannulated taps, threaded guidewires) undergo specialized surface treatment to ensure clear radiographic visibility and smooth intraoperative handling.

With a core design philosophy of "Guidewire-Coaxial Guidance + Modular Instrument Compatibility," the system utilizes dual/multi-hole guides, pressure sleeves, and stopper mechanisms to achieve highly accurate percutaneous screw placement.

Compared to traditional open approaches, it significantly reduces soft tissue damage and meets the demands of procedures such as percutaneous femoral neck fracture fixation, minimally invasive pelvic osteosynthesis, and scaphoid cannulated screw insertion, markedly improving intraoperative positioning accuracy and implantation safety.

Features

Material Excellence

Instruments are constructed from premium stainless steels (05Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb, 420B, 316L, 304), offering high fatigue resistance. Electropolished surfaces minimize tissue friction and surgical trauma.

Precision Coaxial Positioning & Guidance

The threaded guidewire establishes the initial bony channel, while dual/multi-hole guides enable accurate parallel screw trajectory planning. All bone preparation tools (cannulated drills, taps, countersinks) and screw insertion instruments feature coaxial hollow designs that strictly follow the guidewire path, eliminating instrument deviation risks and significantly enhancing placement accuracy in deep structures like the femoral neck and pelvis.

Layered Safety Protection Mechanism

The pressure sleeve integrates a depth-stop function and works with the protection sleeve to isolate rotating instruments from soft tissues. The stopper system provides torque-controlled final locking to prevent screw over-insertion. The pressure handle creates rigid support during drilling, preventing accidental slippage during bone channel preparation. This triple-protection design minimizes intraoperative neurovascular injury risks.

Efficient Modular Workflow

Quick-change handles (straight/T-type) enable one-second switching between drilling, tapping, and screw insertion. The guidewire cleaner rapidly removes bone debris to maintain channel patency. Solid/cannulated hex screwdrivers accommodate different screw types, while screw holder clips prevent operative disengagement. This modular setup reduces instrument exchange time and shortens procedure duration.

Comprehensive Bone Channel Management

A closed-loop process from depth measurement to screw head settling: the depth gauge accurately determines screw length; cannulated drills and taps efficiently prepare and thread the bone channel; cannulated countersinks optimize screw head-bone surface contact, reducing stress concentration. All steps follow the guidewire path to avoid secondary positioning errors.

Advantages

Millimeter-Accurate Placement, Eliminating Deviation Risks

After the threaded guidewire establishes the initial bone channel, all instruments—including cannulated drills, taps, and screwdrivers—advance strictly along the guidewire path. Combined with the multi-angle positioning capability of dual/multi-hole guides, this significantly reduces screw insertion angular errors, particularly in complex anatomical regions like the femoral neck and pelvis, minimizing the risk of bone damage from repeated guidewire adjustments common in traditional techniques.

Active Safety Protection, Reducing Iatrogenic Injury

The protection sleeve envelops rotating tools, isolating drills/taps from surrounding tissues. The pressure sleeve with integrated depth-stop, coupled with the pressure handle, prevents over-reaming of the bone channel. The stopper system precisely sets screw locking torque, avoiding bone cutting or neurovascular compression, effectively lowering intraoperative complication rates.

Modular Efficiency, Shortening Procedure Time

Quick-change handles (straight/T-type) allow one-second instrument switching, seamlessly connecting drilling, tapping, and screw insertion steps. The guidewire cleaner rapidly clears bone debris to maintain channel patency, reducing the need for repeated fluoroscopy. Screw holder clips prevent disengagement between screws and drivers. Compared to traditional instruments, this system reduces tool exchange time and overall procedure duration, particularly beneficial for time-sensitive procedures like emergency fracture fixation.

Optimized Bone Channel Workflow, Enhancing Biomechanical Stability

The depth gauge accurately determines screw length, avoiding fixation failures due to improper sizing. Cannulated taps pre-form bone threads, reducing screw insertion torque. Cannulated countersinks optimize screw head seating, minimizing stress-induced micromotion. This workflow enhances screw holding power and reduces postoperative loosening risks.
