Product Introduction
The metacarpal T locking plate is designed with advanced threaded polyaxial locking holes, enabling a secure plate-screw-bone locking construct that provides angular stability.
Unlike traditional compression plates which require extensive soft tissue and periosteal dissection—often increasing the risk of complications—the polyaxial locking system offers a minimally invasive alternative with enhanced fixation.
Each locking hole features four internal threaded sections, allowing up to 15° off-axis screw angulation in all directions.
This design empowers surgeons to select the most optimal screw trajectory, adapting fixation to specific fracture patterns or cortical areas and improving anatomical conformity.
The plate’s low-profile body is anatomically contoured, with rounded edges and a highly polished surface, minimizing soft tissue irritation and improving patient comfort.
The locking screws (Type II and cannulated Type III) are equipped with a threaded spherical head, which locks securely within the polyaxial hole, forming a stable angular fixation once the screw is fully inserted.
To ensure optimal mechanical performance:
● Φ1.5 mm and Φ2.0 mm screws feature shallow threads to enhance grip in finer bone.
All components are manufactured from TA3G pure titanium or TC4 titanium alloy, offering excellent biocompatibility, strength, and fatigue resistance.
