Advanced Tensioner

Model Number: DAB01-V

Compatible Implants: Metal Cable

Product Introduction

This comprehensive instrument set is designed for fracture fixation, joint reconstruction, and soft tissue reinforcement using high-strength metal cables.

Comprising 11 core tools, it addresses key technical challenges in cable applications—including deep tissue passage, precise tension adjustment, and efficient locking and cutting—enabling a closed-loop workflow from cable guidance and bone encircling to tensioning, locking, and trimming.

Manufactured from high-strength medical-grade stainless steel, critical components (e.g., guide tips, locking jaws) undergo specialized surface treatment for enhanced durability, corrosion resistance, and tactile feedback during confined-space maneuvers.

With a design philosophy centered on "Precise Guidance + Continuous Tensioning + Secure Locking," the system integrates straight and curved guides, bidirectional tensioners, and an integrated locking mechanism to facilitate smooth cable passage around complex anatomical structures, accurate tension control, and reliable fixation.

This system significantly improves fixation strength and surgical efficiency, making it suitable for a wide range of applications such as fracture cerclage, greater trochanteric fixation in total hip arthroplasty, extensor mechanism repair in knee replacement, humeral tuberosity fixation in shoulder arthroplasty, and ligament/tendon reattachment.

Features

Material Excellence

All instruments are made of premium stainless steels (05Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb, 420B, 316L, 304), offering high fatigue resistance and electropolished surfaces to minimize tissue friction and trauma.

Comprehensive Guidance and Positioning Capability

Includes both straight (Type I/II) and curved (Type I/II) guides to accommodate varying anatomical depths and angles. Straight guides enable direct superficial cable passage, while curved guides are engineered for deep or bony structures (e.g., femoral trochanter, pelvic arcuate line), featuring pre-bent tips and low-friction coatings to ensure accurate placement and reduce neurovascular injury risks.

Precision Infinite Tension Control System

The novel tensioner and bidirectional tensioner form the core tensioning module. The bidirectional tensioner allows push-pull operation for efficient initial tightening in deep or narrow spaces, while the novel tensioner offers millimeter-level fine-adjustment through a precision gear mechanism, meeting demanding applications such as fracture fragment compression and tendon reattachment.

Integrated Locking and Efficient Termination

The locking pliers, connector, and crimper work synergistically to secure cable ends. The crimper's hardened jaws prevent deformation under high pressure, the connector ensures quick tool-cable engagement, and the locking pliers deliver controlled crimping force to prevent slippage. The cable cutters (Type III and large) complete the process: Type III performs flush cutting next to the lock, while the large cutter swiftly removes excess cable, minimizing soft tissue irritation.

Modular Integration and Operational Support

All tools are systematically organized in a dedicated case according to the surgical sequence: guidance → cable passage → tensioning → locking → cutting. Straight/curved guides address anatomical variations, bidirectional/novel tensioners cover coarse and fine tensioning, and the locking group enables integrated crimping-inspection-reinforcement, reducing instrument switching time and learning curve.

Advantages

Enhanced Performance in Complex Anatomical Passage

The straight/curved guide combination resolves challenges in deep bony structure encirclement. Straight guides allow efficient superficial guidance, while curved types navigate deep tortuous paths (e.g., femoral posterior condyles, pelvic obturator foramen), reducing cable passage time and preventing blind probing-related neurovascular injuries—particularly valuable in obese patients or complex revision cases with limited visibility.

Dual Breakthrough in Tension Precision and Efficiency

The bidirectional and novel tensioners form an infinite tension control system. The bidirectional tool enables push-pull operation for initial tightening in deep cavities (e.g., posterior acetabulum) without instrument change, while the novel tensioner provides millimeter-level fine-tuning via a precision ratchet, ensuring target compression between fracture fragments and minimizing reduction loss compared to manual methods.

Redefined Safety and Convenience in Termination

The graded cutter system achieves zero-residue cutting: Type III cutter's ultra-thin blades perform precise cuts flush to the lock, avoiding sharp ends that could irritate soft tissues, while the large cutter's high shear force instantly removes excess cable with reduced operative tremor and slippage risk. The dual-cutters enhance safety and efficiency, shortening wound exposure time.

Streamlined Workflow and Reduced Learning Curve

Tools are compartmentalized following the "guide-pass-tension-lock-cut" sequence, minimizing intraoperative instrument switching. The graduated guide curvatures and complementary tensioner functions allow rapid adaptation to diverse anatomical scenarios, shortening training cycles for new surgeons. The high-strength metal cables meet extreme tension band demands in procedures like total hip replacement and comminuted pelvic fractures.
