Application: Anterior internal fixation during cervicalvertebrae orinterbody fusion

Product Introduction

Anterior Cervical Plate - Type II

The system features a pre-set locking mechanism and is designed with fixed-angle screws and variable-angle screws, allowing flexible application for different surgical options.(such as ACDF,ACCF,ACAF)

An anterior cervical plate (ACP) used to stabilisestabilize and support the spine after spinal fusion. The cervical spine refers to the vertebrae in the neck area, and fusion is the connecting of two or more vertebrae together to increase stability and relieve symptoms caused by disorders such as degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, or spinal fractures.

Anterior Cervical Plate is commonly screwed to the front (anterior) of the cervical spine. It is intended to keep the cervical vertebrae aligned and offer immediate support while the bones fuse together. The plate acts as an internal brace, preventing excessive movement and facilitating fusion.

Features

RELIABLE LOCKING

1. Unique locking mechanism, visible and tactile, anti-loosening and backing out.

2. Increased contact surface and locking strength

FLEXIBLE FIXATION

1. Wide range of screws, including fixed, variable, self-tapping and self-drilling screws.

2. Multiple fixation methods, limited/unlimited/mixed.

Anterior Cervical Plate - Type II

Advantage

● Improved Fusion Success: Conform to the anatomical characteristics of the human body and reduces the incidence of postoperative dysphagia and hematoma.

● Simple and efficient operation: One-step locking of 2 nails, simple operation, shortened operation time. Maximized visibility window for easier observation of the graft and the vertebral endplates.

● Various specifications: Various optional screws and titanium plates with complete specifications provide a variety of fixation methods for clinical use to fulfill clinical needs.

● High safety and reliability: Locking structure reduces the stress concentration of the nail plate system and increases the safety of internal fixation.

● Enhanced Stability: Variable and fixed angle screws allow the surgeon to build a semi-rigid, constrained or hybrid fixation construct. Anti-slippage teeth resist plate movement.

Application

● Degenerative Disc Disease

● Trauma

● Tumors

● Deformity (defined as kyphosis, lordosis, or scoliosis)

● Pseudarthrosis

● Failed Previous Fusions

Surgical Procedure

The cervical plate implantation is performed during anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) for disc herniation or spondylosis.
Under general anesthesia, the patient is positioned supine. A transverse anterior neck incision provides access to the cervical spine, followed by platysma dissection and blunt retraction to expose the target vertebrae.

The pathologic disc is excised with concurrent osteophyte resection to decompress neural structures.
An interbody graft (autograft/allograft/cage) is then implanted into the disc space. The cervical plate is secured to adjacent vertebrae using locking screws, providing immediate segmental stabilization and compressive force to promote fusion.

Finally, layered closure with sutures and sterile dressing completes the procedure.
Postoperatively, patients require cervical collar immobilization for 2–6 weeks, with physical therapy commencing at 4–6 weeks to restore function.
